Head down Pacific hwy past Swansea to Catherine Hill Bay but go past the turn off to Catherine Hill Bay and turn off at Montefiore Pkwy, drive through first roundabout and when approaching second roundabout turn right, follow this road to the end and you will reach Hooey St. Turn right here and park on left hand side of road 50 metres up.

Follow trail below to launch, it best to have someone who has flown here show you the launch as it is quite hidden amongst the scrub.

Parking is available Hooey Street, new Catherine Hill Bay suburb.
Etiquette
The site is not large. It can handle 2-4 wings at a time on strong days and 1-2 wings on lighter days.

Takeoff
In amongst the scrub is this beautiful take off.
Landing
Beach landing in front, with a quick walk back up to launch (5mins).
Flight
- Keep an eye on the water. Notice any changes and see what air is heading your way.
- The Northeast facing hill does not have a huge lift band.
- The headland in the background of below image may cause turbulence when wind swings more ENE.
Airspace
- Non-Active – but is a VFR flight corridor for aircraft transiting north and south from 500ft.
- Plenty of traffic setting up to land at Lake Macquarie airport (Pelican)
Hazards / Comments
- On stronger days, be careful not to be dragged off your feet into the trees.
- Once the winds venture past the NE or northern headland, the site is in turbulence and can be unsafe to fly.
- If flying in ENE and it swings more north be very careful on beach landing to the north, stick to southern end of beach.
- Can be susceptible to the infamous bubble phenomenon
