York Silos - Gwambygine Hill
This northeast-facing small rocky hill is mainly used as a training hill but is soarable in the right conditions.
Takeoff
Very small and rocky, with a shallow and rocky slope.
Flight
Because the slope is shallow it is difficult to maintain a safe height. It is recommended this hill is only flown in smooth conditions such as early morning and evenings.
Noondeening Hill is a generally better flying site for this wind direction.
Hazards/Comments
As with any inland site this hill can feature strong lift, strong sink and turbulence.
